Annie Mok is an author-illustrator, a regular contributor to Rookie Mag and The Comics Journal, co-creator of Swim Thru Fire with Sophia Foster-Dimino, co-star in the upcoming feature film Phaesporia, a musician, and host and producer of the movies podcast Lights Go Down. She is a recipient of a 2014 Leeway Foundation Transformation Award.
Annie was the frontwoman for See-Through Girls from 2013-2015.

Annie's client list includes DC/Vertigo, Penguin/Random House Canada, Seven Stories Press, Sui Generis Health, St. Stephen's Human Services / Homeless Against Homelessness, and the Red Umbrella Project. American Illustration selected her work for its Archive in 2012 and 2013. She received a 2014 Transformation Award from the Leeway Foundation.

Annie spoke at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the University of Winnipeg, and she has spoken and led workshops at Swarthmore College and Oberlin College.

She exhibits regularly at comics and zine fests, such as the Toronto Comics Arts Fest, the Small Press Expo, the Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE), and Comic Arts Brooklyn. She organizes I Put a Spell on You, an ongoing transnational series of comic book readings with special guest readers
